rocked classical music? yes/no? opinions?
14th November 2008
hi, ive just discovered JerryC's, Canon. if anyone hasnt seen or heard it, check it out.
anyway, im thinking of covering / sampling / changing another piece of classical-ish music. i play guitar and bass, and a little piano. i like papa roach / the used / static x style music. and i kno the basics of music theory.
so does anyone kno of a piece of music that i could change, somehow?
Night on a Bald Mountain would be a really cool piece to change like that…
Also, I'm curious to see how Rite of Spring would turn out. I love those kinds of songs, you should e-mail me with it when it's finished!

Absolutely yes. Just look what Trans-Siberian Orchestra did for traditional holiday music and Beethoven! And now they're probably doing very well for themselves.
Just take any classical piece that has a good feel to it already and update it with modern instruments, or just add the rock instruments to the original score. Go for it!
